COACHING
is a partnership between
the coach and the client.

Coaching supports, guides and helps you to achieve your personal best and to produce the results you want in your personal and professional life. It ensures you can give the best of yourself and to learn and develop in the way you wish.

I believe the essence of coaching is to help you change in the way you want to change while guiding and supporting you go in the direction you want to go. Coaching supports a person at every level in becoming who you want to be. Coaching builds awareness empowers choice and leads to change.

It unlocks a person’s potential to maximise their performance. Coaching helps you to learn rather than being taught.

Coaching has traditionally been associated with sports with every top athlete having a coach. In the last few years, coaching has become applicable in every area, in business and in every aspect of life as well as sport and it is now quite normal for someone to see a coach to help them achieve their goals in their life and work. Furthermore, a coach does need not be an expert in their clients’ field of work

Finding balance for yourself leads to balance beyond self

Most people come to me because of an underlying sense that a change needs to happen. Some know what this change is but most are unsure so the journey begins by exploring together your understanding, feelings and perceptions. As we explore, new insights and ways of looking at what it is preventing you from being the best version of yourself emerge.

Coaching is a developmental approach to working and interacting with people. It can help people develop their personal capabilities, interpersonal skills and capacity to understand and empathise with others. In turn, this can help you understand more about your own challenges and make informed choices about your future aspirations. It can strengthen your ability to use a range of influencing and leadership styles. Coaching can help you feel more empowered to make a difference and improve your own effectiveness.

I work with clients who have completed a therapeutic journey or those simply looking for a new direction or compass bearing.

Wilderness-Therapy

"Greg has worked with me for over two years as a counsellor and life coach during a particularly challenging time in my life, and has been a key figure in helping me to work through personal difficulties throughout. The sessions are always helpful and leave me reflective of some new points, or energised to make some changes in my life. Techniques used cover differnet media, visual aids, demonstrations and so on, all of which assist in allowing the individual to better understand their thought processes and how they might want to reappraise their view on life - but aside from the scheduled time together he has also always been available to me as and when needed, sending helpful links or happy to pick up the phone/travel to see me in cases of particular dire need. It is these 'above and beyond' style techniques that have really fostered trust, and which have meant that I have felt supported and valued throughout the process of myself work. I have felt that this was a journey that I was walking, but with a steady hand on my shoulder. Best wishes"

Coaching
I believe that coaching is a practical strategy that helps someone achieve outcomes they identify themselves. The outcomes may be about perceptions and beliefs as well as about observable behaviour and concrete action. Coaching leads to insight, discovery and forward movement, in alignment with the uniqueness of the individual, their understanding of the world, values and preferences. Relationship is the foundation of its success.
